+ How much is the venue hire?

It depends on the nature of the needs for your event, we create a quote based on your events' unique needs. If you have any questions, email our events team at roofgarden@33chapel.co.za

+ What does the venue hire include?

  1. The exclusive use of the venue
  2. We provide the following furniture in the exclusive hire:
    Furniture included:
    20 x 10 seater wooden tables with benches
    5 x 4 seater wooden tables with benches/chairs
    4 wooden cocktail tables
    8 x 2 seater white couches
    4 x 2 seater white ottomans
    2 x metal trestle tables for food serving, etc. Stage 4m x 3m

    Facilities:

    • 15 x 15 vinyl tent
    • 6m Rustic Bar
    • Bedouin tent
    • 2 x Male Toilets
    • 3 x Male Urinals
    • 2 x Female Toilets
    • bathrooms, hand soap, towels and toilet
    • paper supplied.
    • 80 x off-street parking spaces across the street from the venue
    • Stair access only.
    • We regret no lift for persons with disability.

    Included:

    • General PA System (Speakers, Mic/Mic Stand, Podium)
    • Standard Decor/Draping (Fairy Lights, Greenery/Flower Chandelier, Plants etc)
    • Wine/Champagne Glasses
    • 6 x Par can lights (Colour of your choice)
    • Programmable 55" SMART TV on the backdrop

    Licensed bar:

    • Bar managed by venue.
    • 10% service fee will be added to set bar tabs.
    • No sale of alcohol to Under 18s.
    • No sale of alcohol to intoxicated persons.

+ What is Roof Garden Bar's venue capacity?

250 people - casual
160 - seated

+ Is there a minimum amount of people for the venue hire?

There is no minimum amount of people for venue hire, the cost will remain the same regardless.

+ Is there a minimum spend on the bar?

There is no minimum spend.

+ How do you confirm an event?

An event is only confirmed once we have received payment of the venue hire as well as a signed copy of our booking form and Terms and Conditions.

+ Do you allow corkage?

Yes we do. Champagne and Wine at R40 per bottle. We do have a fully stock bar that can be run either on a tab or cash basis. All other drinks need to be purchased through our bar. Should you wish to order in something special for your event that we don't stock, we can source it for you.

+ Do you offer catering?

We have a few preferred suppliers that we work with who can assist with Set Menus, Platters, Canapés, Buffet and more.

+ Can I bring my own catering and can we use your kitchen?

Yes you may, however our kitchen is not big enough for catering from but we can alternatively setup a make shift kitchen for your caterers.

Waiters not included.

+ Do you offer decor services?

We have a simple decor selection on hand for basic decor as well as a fantastic decor team who can create a bespoke look and feel for your function. Contact us for more info roofgarden@33chapel.co.za

+ Can I bring my own decor?

Yes you may, however, we do not allow anything that will stain our furniture or damage our flooring or our plants.

+ Can you assist with DJ/Entertainment?

Yes we can, we have a wide variety of DJ's, bands, comedians and more that we work with regulary that we can assist with.

+ Are there any sound restrictions?

We do have sound restrictions. the volume needs to go down by 23:00 and sound off by 00:00.

+ CAN WE BRING OUR OWN SOUND SYSTEM AND DJ / BAND?

We do allow external sound systems but still need to adhere to sound restrictions.

You’re welcome to bring in your own DJ / Band but they are required to provide all of their own equipment e.g. CDJ’s / instruments etc.

With exclusive venue hire our basic sound system is included as well as our awesome pre-selected playlists or you are also welcome to play your own playlists on this system.

+ DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

There is safe street parking and a parking lot across the road, with security walking around 24/7.

We always suggest using taxi services especially if your guests will be drinking.

+ Are Hubbly's allowed in the venue?

We do not allow hubbly's in the venue.

+ Is the venue Wheelchair friendly?

Unfortunately our venue is not wheelchair friendly.
